Massachusetts will again suspend the sales tax on non-business purchases
under $2,500 on August 12 and 13. Motor vehicles and certain other taxa
ble items are excluded. Please read the Technical Information Release 06
-13 (TIR 06-13) for all the information you will need to enjoy a sales t
ax holiday.
When a retailer sells an item(s) exempt by virtue of the sales tax holid
