years of work) before one could claim social security after retirement.
This is a federal law enacted after great depression if my memory serves me
correctly. Its purpose is to guarrente lowest level of security using the
credit of federal government. Usually, social security tax is deducted
partly from your salary, and at the same time, your employer has to deposit

校里的janitor和一般公司里打扫卫生的编制是不同的，是属于public employee的，是
town里的雇员，算工龄，有pension.

Did a little bit research on social security and pension recently and just
felt a little bit curious by what you said. If I offended you by accident,
I do appologize.
It seems to me the deal for employees of MA local government is not that
sweet. Suppose I worked in private sector for 9 years and then work for MA
local government until I retire, I guess I was screwed any how. |
