insurance. And he did not mention it to me.
My insurance should reimburse me $150 for glass, then they only reimburse me
$20 since he charged $130 for eye exam. I paid $185 for glass including
$5 copay, $80for frame and $100 for glass. That is for mine.

If you go to Costo, they will charge your insurance $200 or more and
will not mention it to you either.
By the way, Everytime you go to see your doctor, did the doctor tell you how
much they will bill the insurance for each item before they see you?

看了以上几位大侠的讨论
我发现我就一冤大头啊
先去医院做了检查，office visit是380
保险cover完了自己付了75
然后去lenscraft配眼镜
versace的框+premium镜片
保险cover完了之后付了379。。。
为啥没早上来问问，哭天喊地捶地痛哭ing。。。

上个月去Beth Israel检查视力， 因为我另外买了视力的保险， cover 一般的眼睛检
查， copay 5刀， 但是Beth Israel不接受我的视力保险， 却说如果我交15刀的copay
， 就可以通过我的medical Insurance来claim。 我打电话给保险公司， 他们说一般
的检查不能通过medical Insurance来claim， 还说我可以先自己交钱， 然后寄到保险
公司要reimbursement。 我就那么做了， 自己掏了168块， 然后找保险公司要钱。 今
天网上一查才知道， Beth Israel收了我自己交的钱， 又去找保险公司要钱， 而保险
公司还真的pay了， 我这边的却没有pay。 请问我这种情况怎么办呢？ 保险公司已经
付给医院了， 会不会就不管我了呢？

发帖数: 627 | 9 既然大家都指名道姓了我觉得我还是应该回应一下以澄清事实:
首先如果你拿医疗保险去COSTCO做眼睛检查,他们一般给保险公司寄 $200左右的帐单,
而且也不会事先跟你提他们会charge保险公司多少, 虽然他们对于self-pay,no-
insurance的只收$ ５５－６０（不是$５０）．
这里就牵涉到好几个不能混淆却被搞混的价钱:
１． the amount Billed to Insurance Vs. the adjusted charge for self-pay
patients.
2. The amount billed to Insurance Vs. the amount paid by Insurance
如果大家要比较, 请苹果比苹果，香蕉比香蕉，而不是去拿苹果比香蕉．
另：
１． COSTCO不收任何vision plan包括eyemed, VSP, Spectera, OptumHealth,
Superior vision, Davis Vision, etc.
２． 如果你拿医疗保险去COSTCO做眼睛检查,他们一般给保险公司寄 $200左右的帐单，
而不是他们收自费病人的$５５－６０．
３． 好像大家在美国看病，从来没有哪个医生会在看病之前先告诉你他们会向保险公
司bill多少钱的．
