一些和finger painting 类似的刷房间油漆的方法,很fun,和大家分享一下。
(很抱歉,录的时候是英文的,有空或需要的话再做中文的。)

1. Paint with a sponge
All you need is a good-sized sponge and a can of interior paint. You can
pick a different color from your kid’s bedroom’s wall color.
Dab the sponge straight up and down on the wall. Do not twist or roll it.
And feel free to stamp in a random pattern. You can cut the sponge into
different shapes, such as round, snowflakes, etc. (Pictures see video)
If you would like to use two different colors for the pattern, you need to
wait until the paint to dry. Also, one trick that is really important: In
order to get the same amount of paint on the sponge each time, I tipped the
paint can upside down with lid closed. That way, there was similar amount of
paint on the lid each time that I could simply dab the sponge on the inside
of the lid.
The final work can be very cute or like an abstract art piece.(Pictures see
video)
2. Rag-Roll a Wall
This is a very fun and messy project. Make sure that you spread some plastic
sheets on the floors before you start. The interesting part is that you won
’t make mistakes as long as you use the same material of rags throughout
the project.
Dip the rag in paint and wring it out slightly. Then twist or bunch it into
a roll. Use two hands and vary the direction and pressure from time to time
to avoid uniformity. (Pictures see video)
I normally start in a corner or slowly work from the bottom to the top. And
there are fewer color rules with this technique, though I would prefer
rolling light colors over a darker base coat.
3. Decorate by spattering and dragging
Personally I don’t prefer the results of these two techniques. But kids
definitely would enjoy spattering paint. This can be very creative and
really messy. See one example here: (Pictures see video)
As for dragging technique, it takes quite a long time to do. So maybe only
for one section of the design.
The least expensive tool is cardboard. Pull off the paper on one side and
the lines can be used as comb to make patterns. You need to be very patient
to apply this one. Kids can’t help much. (Pictures see video)
I hope this is fun and helpful! |
