you can research of the location where it was and try to select a marginal
location inside woburn to other towns.
I think Woburn is so convenient.
But if you can not get over the psychological thing, you probably can select
Burlington, or Reading as alternative,
It all depends what location is applicable to your situation.

东边建议不要去，都是商业区，而且以前是垃圾场，地下的重金属还有有毒物质现在都
很高。

的重金属对地面的房子有啥影响？

site and redevelop it, it also named as brownfield re-development/
remediation site. When
conduct the general house inspection, it's inspector's obligation to reveal
this kind of information to you.
If the site is still active superfund site, then definitely don't waste your
time and money on it. However, if the site has been granted a NFA (no
further action letter by state dep/dec), the environmental concern should
not be a problem.
We cleaned up many of these properties in NYC, especially West Queens (long
island city), that area used to be owned by standard oil/exxon as oil
refinery. It's a very high end residential area in NYC now.
Remediate the contaminated groundwater, excavate the contaminated soil,
install sub slab vapor depressurization system (SSDS) to control the vapor.
It's safe for people to live there.
