发帖数: 264 | 1 There will be a public vote for phase 1 on next Monday. If phase 1 is
approved, phase 2 and phase 3 would be determined by town planning board
solely. There will be no more votings. Town officials including school
district are sold this idea.
For phase 1, there will be 25% low income properties. Other phases would
bring in 10% low income property house. 1st pahse means more than 300
apartments, and eventually, more than 900 houses would be built. This town
currently has 15-16 thousands people.
Town officials claimed that if this plan is not approved, developers might
not try to buy residents out. They will come back (one day) with chapter
40B request. 40B means developer is allowed to build mass houses in a town
if affordalbe house is below 10%.
