Have anybody hired structure engineer? I need to have somebody comeover to
evaluate if there is need to change poles/beams and how. My american
colleague (used to be structure engineer) indicated it might cost about 500~
1000 bucks. Anybody can share your experience?

My wife hired a structure engineer for her business in 2012.
We paid 500 or 600 (do not remember exactly now) for similar type of job.
