A Boston BMW owner made the mistake of parking illegally in front of a fire
hydrant, so fire fighters battling an 8-alarm blaze simply smashed a hose
through the windows Wednesday night.
It appears to be an act of retaliation at first, but firefighters say the
fire hose must be as straight as possible to maintain water pressure.
Firefighters had no time to tow this unfortunate BMW and smashed a fire hose

首先,消防栓两边的口和中间那个口口径一样吗,你路过消防栓的时候好好看看.
各个口都有啥功能是有区别的.
其次,不砸窗,走车顶那个压力对车的破坏更大.
再次,消防队员死在火灾现场和士兵死在战场一样,你去说说你们当兵的是怎么培训的试
试?
最后,你们家哪天着火了,你再来这里吐遭消防队员破坏财产试试,什么叫这点火灾?
我们实验室的人每次在火警响起来的时候,都在说起来以前一些火灾轶闻笑话消防队员如
何如何,但是你要想想这种情况下人家是反方向往一个不是很熟悉的环境前进,工资和抚
恤金可能高些,但是把命丢里面,对他们的家庭造成的影响该有多大,有家有口的人都应该
能体会吧.
这个问题在笑话版给吐的时候,我到处看了看新闻和一些论坛上的讨论,美国人里同样有
你们这样的愤青,
综合我看到的这种谣言,貌似这个宝马车主想把车挪开,但是被消防车堵在里面了,
然后被砸窗,之后因为水管还是有点弯,影响压力,有把车往外推了,估计门上这个凹坑就
是这么来的.
这个车主如果觉得消防队员在这个过程有不合理合法的地方,完全可以起诉市政府争回损
失,如果他象你们说地这么占理,肯定有律师哭着喊着要代表他.

往车下走最容易，gravity 也能帮助一下 flow吧。 丫偏偏不干，故意砸窗。无视公民
的私有财产权利。
parking like this is just a $100 fine. The firefighters could figure out a
better easy way than breaking windows that caused more damage and needed a
lot of efforts.
一个杀人本来就要偿命的道理都弄不清的国家，firefighter 却用 keep hose
straight的理由来做不必要的损人举动。
看看那条hose 后来在地上拐了多少弯弯吧， not straight at all.

I can image the dumb firefighters looked at the car, spent about 10 seconds
thinking about how to damage it and spent another 30 sec. to find a tool,
then spent another 10 sec to break them. Then spent another 10 sec. to 哼哧哼

Water flow is easier to go down than going up. Breaking windows ended up
water has to go up first.
2. Saving life theory:
Some brain cells start dying less than 5 minutes after heart stops beating.
Firefighters wasted about 2 minutes in breaking windows than just simply
putting the hose under the car, causing one person with heart arrest has 2
min/5min= 40% possibility to have permanent brain damages.

pressurization of hydrant.
2. You're assuming that it takes longer to break two windows than trying to
get the hose under the car out the other side when firefighters may not know
the
clearance of the chassis, nor how close the car parked to the curb, etc.
3. I literally don't give a shit about the car. If you're so much an asshole
that you put your convenience of not walking couple blocks ahead of public
safety, two broken windows is less than what would be deserved.
I bet you're that guy who parks next to hydrants, and make your doctor sign
off the forms so you could get a handicapped parking pass.

should do right things to get a better result.
Another theory:
3. Straightness Theory
How straight is straight? When a firefighter broke windows to keep the pipe
straight while the water pressure is kind of maximum, should he keep the
same
straight after those spots, all the way down while the water pressure gets
weaker?? This time, the firefighter is lucky to have a clear way, how about
next time he has some obstacles all the way to his destination, should he
break every obstacles to get the pipe straight?
