Property Accountant
This is a full time position, located at our newly renovated Boott Mills
Offices in Lowell, MA

Position Summary:
The Winn team is seeking an action and detail oriented Property Accountant
to join the Winn Accounting division. Through the use of solid accounting,
analytical and time management skills the Property Accountant would provide
expertise to process, review and evaluate the financial transactions of an
assigned portfolio of multi-family properties. By ensuring the accuracy of
all financial data related to those properties, the Senior Property
Accountant will enable clients to enhance the financial performance of those

Essential Tasks:
• Performs analysis of cash requirements and cash positions for
assigned portfolio.
• Reviews and analyzes general ledger balances and prepare journal
entries.
• Reviews monthly financial statements for accuracy, prepares
monthly analytical review of account variances in support of monthly close
process.
• Reconciles all balance sheet accounts including bank accounts, A/
R, A/P and resolves all reconciling items in a timely manner for assigned
portfolio.
• Reviews all subsidiary reports and reconciles to the general
ledger monthly, including a review of the rent roll and gross potential rent
(“GPR”) for assigned portfolio.
• Calculates and processes for payment the monthly management and
accounting fees.
• Processes the monthly mortgage, escrow payments and other
recurring payables.
• Monitors security deposit cash and ensures that all accounts are
fully funded.
• Responsible for payment of real estate taxes, utilities, and
insurance for assigned portfolio.
• Participates in creation of annual property budgets.
• Prepares annual audit schedules and work with external auditors
to complete audits.
• Provides support and assistance to the Property and Asset
Management departments.
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
• Education - BA/BS in Accounting or related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience
• Property Management industry experience preferred
• Computer Skills – Yardi, Excel, and MSOffice |
