You think, "en, now it is a good time to show my extra 2A after pass."
You decide to bid 3S and hoping for 3nt.
Here come the question for the 1st vote, when you bid 3S, in your mind:
1) 3S is forcing to 3NT or 4 level
2) 3S is game forcing, I will try 5c/d at least.
2nd vote after 3s, what is your thought:
1) pd 4C gurrantee extra C, 4D does not gurrantee is the weakest
2) pd 4D gur | c****u 发帖数: 3277 | 2 3S is gameforcing. no fun to stop at 4m although sometimes it can be right,
but 4m just doesn't pay off much.
After 3S, 4C shows 5 clubs, 4D is a catch all bid, no other choices,
for hands like:
xx Kx AKQxx KQxx
after 4C, I bid 4D to show D support.
Yes, easy 6C after 5C bid. you have two sure cover cards.

of common sense. But, who knows, maybe sense is never common. Here, after 3S,
if partner rebid cheaply, s/he should keep in mind that you could pass.
It makes sense to have the cheapest bid as the "kick-the-ball-back" bid, I
cannot see how it makes sense otherwise. So, 4C doesn't promise extra length,
4D does.
after 4C, I'd bid 4D. some would want to ask: "is it forcing?", my anwser
would be: "I don't know". Instead of tagging

Remember that partner is in balancing seat, 3C can be a shade light. In some
cases 4m will already be too high, and forcing to 5m just asks for trouble.
Also you cannot bid over 2S, so the chance for slam is really remote. If
either of you want to be in game, you should just bid it.
I would have stretched to make a negative double in first round. Yes it is
an overbid, but I do have two aces and mild D fit.
2) I think 4C should |
