stanford MBA两年课程，念完就可以毕业了，斋上课而已
USC DBA起码要5年，前两年完成16门课，第一年结束有Screening Examination，有可
能被踢出program，第二年结束有Qualifying Examination，也有可能被踢出去，都挨
下来了，到最后，也不一定能毕业啊...谁知道能不能出文章呢......
经济方面，stanford MBA最多有三五千块钱意思意思，基本全部学费书费靠贷款，好几
万投资呀(生活费就不算了，毕竟不管是念书还是工作还是闲坐发呆都要生活费)...
DBA有tuition waiver和stipend(每月不到2千).....但是不知道1年还是2年还是几年后
会一无所得地离开program? MBA起码对于拿到degree有保障得多...

除非有强烈意愿以后要做faculty，否则还是stanford的吧

program, networking may not be as effective as in other premium b schools.
After all, bay area is famous for technology innovation, not a financial
town. If you are pursuing a career in financial industry, maybe hbs/stern/
chicago gsb is better.
2. a phd degree can open more doors for you. I personally prefer academic
career. But I already missed the chance to get into a good phd program.

你如果将来要进film industry， 你也许需要犹豫要不要放弃stanford。
或者你牛到去那个学校都可以找到好的工作，而且usc给你全奖， 这个时候
你也可以选usc

what can you do w/ a phd in finance? i can see only two exits: 1. faculty, 2
. researcher in financial institutions as supporting function
w/ mba, you can choose pretty much whatever you want, especially from
stanford.

i was talking about the kind of work to do in the future.
for the type of people that will come here and ask "what to choose, USC DBA
or Stanford MBA", i am sure he or she does not have any firm idea of what to
do in the next.
so in this sense, MBA would be much better for the variety of career choices
he or she may get with an MBA.
