computer science at the Colorado School of Mines for Fall 2013. Qualified
candidates are self-motivated and dedicated to obtaining a Ph.D. in
distributed systems and networking, and have strong algorithms background
and implementation skills. Students who have a Bachelor's degree in
computer science or a related field are encouraged to apply. Having a Master
's degree in computer science is desirable but not required. Successful
applicants will join the PeCS (Pervasive Computing Systems) research group <http://pecs.mines.edu> directed by Dr. Qi Han <http://www.mines.edu/~qhan>. Research areas of interest include mobile sensing, wireless sensor networks, pervasive computing, cyber physical systems, participatory sensing, and robotic sensor networking.
