Who you are
You are passionate about software engineering. You take pride in clean,
simple and effective code. You love using your software skills and creative
thinking to solve complex problems and want to work with others to do so.
You’re an engineer with a deep understanding of software and a real knack
for optimising and simplifying code. You take pride in your work and you
want to deliver world class software in an extremely competitive environment.
What you’ll do
Working closely with our trading department and other offices, you’ll be
building our automated trading systems and connections to exchanges in China
. You’ll be working collaboratively with other excellent developers as well
as researching and integrating new technologies into our systems as the
opportunities arise.
Your skills and experience
•3-5 years of industry software engineering / development experience
using
C/C++
•A passion for delivering high quality software which is simple, fast
and reliable
•Strong problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to drive
innovation and work in a self-sufficient manner
•An understanding of a broad range of technologies, such as operating
systems, multithreading, networking, databases and virtualisation
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Experience with TDD, agile methodologies, visualisation or low
latency systems would be nice but are not essential
•Industry experience with C#, Java or Python will also be highly
regarded.
