First, find your interested topic, and collect lots of papers about that
topic. Then, reading only first 2-3 sections (intro, related work, main
scheme) of some new papers, and get the feeling about 1) what are foundamental

1. If you just start research, focus on the classical papers and read them
carefully from the beginning to the end. It can take 5 hours.
2. If you already have some background in the field and you are reading some
papers related to your topic, focus on abstract, introduction. No need to read
related work and experiments. Half an hour is enough. If you feel it's good,
go ahead to read the first 1-2 technical sections or even more. By the way,

come on. 向我这种常写bad papers的人还等着reviewers的意见来改paper呢.
我怎么觉得要reject的paper更应该多写点呢. 否则人家死了都不知道怎么死的.

I am sorry. I didn't make it clear. I mean if you decide to reject a paper,
you should focus on the big things (such as motivation, contribution, overall
technical approach). When the authors revise the paper, they should also focus
on that. There is no point to revise other stuffs if these fundamental things
are not strong.

多谢,看来我要好好调整自己的方法了,感觉一篇文章读下来我被作者牵着走,
他说好我就觉得他的方法好,以后别的作者指出他的不足,我才发现这些不足.
看来还是自己修养不够啊!
