机系phd（也烂，但毕业的几个人找的工作都还不错）的话，应该能那个化学的master.老
婆负责那绿卡，我只想找一份有前途，又合适自己的专业和工作。
大家说该转么？大家都很喜欢这个行业么？我觉得做生物和化学的，很少有真正热爱本行

你不一定会觉得有意思。多选几门CS课，看看能不能提起你
的兴趣，才做决定。

再累也挺得住。如果没有兴趣又勉强自己去学，效果恐怕不
大好。如果一点基础也没有，恐怕得从本科的课开始学起，
那就任重道远了。。。

发帖数: 152 | 7 PhD students in CS do not need to take as many math courses as undergraduate s
tudents. It depends on the department. Some departments require you to take
many heavy-programming courses. Some departments require you to pass qualify
exam. Also it depends on your research interest, for instance, logic, graphic
, networking require different math background.
It is a good suggestion that you take/audit some courses and do some homework
to see if you really like CS.

ly is.
if you really like what CS deals with, then just jump to cs. background is not
hing. you can build it from zero. don't worry.

, even the simpliest CS problem, not matter theory, graphics or vision, etc,
he had to make great effort to conquer. Physics and math majors feel much
better than Chem major.

o computer science thinking. They have to break most their learned methodol
ogy and refill their mind by computer science methodology if they decide to
change major.

chem or theory chem to CS is kind of natural, math background matters. Anyway
time can change everything, not a big deal as long as you have real interests
in cs.

人一生如果能从事一项你热爱的职业，那该是多爽的事呀？事业和婚姻是同等重要的。所
以我决定一试。妈的，换老婆犯罪，换专业万岁。不换白不换。
俺也知道不是时候，也不想汤这个浑水，不过实在没别的选择。统计？金融？护士？去死
吧! 也只有computer 还 sounds fun.

science.
you also need to read paper and do very boring coding... debiging is
frustrating...seems now you really don't know what is computer science now.

second, how can you know you will be admitted to CS Ph.D. program?
if both are Yes, and even your CS background is weak now, you can have a try.
Otherwise, just forget it.
