，我还有点反应不过来，感觉没有出什么错啊，结果Office下车说我Stop sign没听，
我觉得我停了的，还check了一下Traffic才右拐的。警官拿了驾照给开了罚单，说是可
以不上庭直接交罚款，若选择上庭的话，得看法官怎么判，如果能waive掉就不用交了。
我是想着去上庭的，不知道argue一下有没有用，我肯定是减速了的，可能没Stop
completely，就被躲在附近的警官逮住了。
不知道这种情况上庭是应该plea guilty还是not guilty，就想求个不扣点。 |

I think you may contact an attorney. In the coming days, you will have at
least 10 legal advertising letters to your house. Just call a few of them,
and go to the one who takes time to explain to you and charges reasonably. |

There are basically 2 systems: one for your driver's points, for which you
have 12 every 3 years, and the other for your insurance rate.
If guilty, you will be deducted 3 driver's points for passing the red sign.
This is not a big problem, if you don't make another citation before or
after. In 3 years, your points will be renewed to 12.
Regarding your insurance rate, I am not sure, but probably 1 point will be
deducted, which will raise your insurance rate by 25%. But please check this
with an attorney.
One thing you can consider is PJC, which is like for the judge to put it
aside forever and you can use once in every 3 years per household. Some say
save this chance for more severe accident because we never know when we are
gonna need it. |
