Sr. Systems engineer
Job Description:
Responsible for architecting, developing and integrating large scale
industrial and grid scale flow battery
Reports to the VP of Product Engineering and leads a team of cross
functional engineers
Work with an interdisciplinary team including marketing, technology
development and product
engineering to develop the next generation Iron Chrome flow battery product
Lead the requirements definition, system architecture,
mechanization and modeling of the flow
battery system
Create and manage system and sub-system (thermal, mechanical,
electrical, controls)
specifications and validation to these specifications
Lead engineers, not limited to but, including mechanical,
electrical, controls, civil towards
system design, prototyping and system integration
Work with the test teams to ensure validation and certifications
are defined and executed to
meet product and application requirements
Interface with Project Management and External Partners /
Contractors as needed towards
project execution
Data analysis, reporting and executive communication as needed
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in one of the core
engineering disciplines such as
mechanical, electrical, chemical, electronics, material science, aerospace
Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in one of the following
energy storage, electrochemical systems
Proven experience in flow battery technology development and/or
large scale energy
storage/power systems a definite plus
Experience with developing and managing requirements for complex
electromechanical or
electrochemical systems
Strong analytical bend towards developing and managing engineering
