Sr. Research Manager 高级研究经理：材料科学及应用
Description of Main Role:
• Build critical mass in terms of people, infrastructure and knowledge
in the group
• Lead the group for functional excellence and high performance
Job Responsibilities:
• Work on research programs about structured materials preparation,
characterization and application
• Conduct regular review of the people, infrastructure and knowledge
in the group for a critical mass to be in place to make meaningful impact in
the ongoing activities
• Propose to Director of Research plans to bring in new people, or
infrastructure or knowledge to meet new or future challenges, and lead the
group to implement the plan upon approval of the plan
• Help Director of Research set up, prioritize and shape R&D programs,
and allocate right people in the group into right project activity
• Organize regular new idea generation activities in the group, and
deliver proposals through proper channels
• Lead the group to identify external collaboration opportunities, and
deliver proposals through proper channels; set up and manage the
collaboration upon approval of the proposal
• Set up and agree on annual work plan with the skill base leaders in
the group and other people in the direct report lines
• Hold people in the group accountable for the agreed deliverables,
and operation safety in the lab and office
• Organize team building and other relevant activities to strengthen
team work and further improve team performance
• Provide guidance and advice, create or identify opportunities for
people in the group to further develop their professional skills,
competencies and career
• Set up communication channels with internal and external people
leading similar groups to share best practice
Job Requirements:
• PhD in Material science/Colloidal chemistry/Polymer science/
Inorganic chemistry, or any other related subjects
• Working knowledge on personal care products and foods; familiar with
various technologies for material preparation and microstructure
characterization
• 4+ year of working experience in the application of advanced
materials in fast moving consumer goods or other relevant industries
• Experience of leading a team of 5+
• Good business sense and organization awareness
• Good communication skills, pro-active and self-motivated
• Proficient in both written and spoken English (and Chinese) |
