Professor Ali Eftekhari is the President of Ohio Institute of Technology and
a professor of chemistry. He started his academic career from age 11 and
earned PhD in electrochemistry at 22. He started to conduct independent
research projects from 15, as the results were later published in scholarly
journals. He has authored about 100 technical articles in leading journals
and about 200 presentations at international meetings. Prof. Eftekhari
served as the head of Electrochemistry Division in Materials and Energy
Research Center. He established a Nano Lab in Iran, which is still the most
advanced lab in the Middle East. Following several managerial positions in
Iran, he remotely serves the Parliament as a science advisor. During the
past years, he has mainly focused on modern university management, as
delivered several practical reports to the federal agencies and top
universities in the United States. He is writing a handbook for university
leaders, introducing practical methods for modernization of universities.
Currently, he is organizing a series of Practical Research Workshops around
the world, in which the participant (junior researchers) can publish
research papers through miniaturization of a PhD thesis within 5 weeks.
