=CI (iodoethene), H2C=CBr (bromoethene), H2C=CCl(Chloroethene). Which hydrogen
should be most acidic in each case? why?
Q2: Use an orbital mixing diagram to show how Hg2+ and S2- (负二价) have a
stronger acid-base interaction than Hg2+ and O2- (负二价)

BR shows higher electronegtivity than I , thus stable the corresponding
carbonanion.
d orbital dorbital interaction HG S
better than d s orbital interaction between hg o
H2C
hydrogen

f*********2 发帖数: 156 | 3 Thank you for your answer. You mean Bromoethene is more stable then the
other two, which means the hydrogen is more stable than the ones in the
other compounds, so it is less acidic?
So the hydrogen in iodoethene should be the most acidic?
Thank you so much.
