when people say "deformation", it simply means they don't want to, or don't
know how to, describe the vibrational mode more accurately.
it could be bending, rocking, wagging,etc.
as long as there is only 1 oop deformation, it's fine
otherwise they have to find other names for 2nd, or 3rd oop "deformations"
