1, Synthetic chemist
Job Skills/Requirements
Development of Si-based products for building materials, electronics, light
management, separations, catalysis and other emerging technologies. This
position involves synthesis of novel siloxane materials and silicone-organic
copolymers in support of new product development and commercialization.
Optimize material synthesis, purify and characterize new compounds using
appropriate analytical techniques (NMR, HPLC, FTIR, etc.). Review component
properties to define future research strategies and design of new materials.
Select synthetic targets based upon potential matches to desired materials
property profiles. Mentor technicians supporting synthetic work and interact
with external collaborators.
The qualified applicant will have experience in chemical synthesis in an
applied industrial research and development setting, with demonstrated
capability to deliver results for technology and commercial development.
Must be self-motivated, able to manage multiple and sometimes quickly
changing research priorities and able to meet project timing requirements
while maintaining a can-do attitude.
Desired Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field
Background in new material synthesis and characterization, preferably with
Si-based products
Experience with synthesis of high purity oligosiloxanes, polysiloxanes, and
other organic hybrid materials; semi-preparative purification techniques and
chemical characterization.
Effective communication and documentation of technology advancements
Ability to work well on diverse teams consisting of marketing, business and
research personnel
Able to influence and motivate others, and organize multiple projects/tasks
simultaneously in a dynamic environment
2, PV engineer
Job Skills/Requirements
This position is for an innovative photovoltaic engineer or scientist. The
successful candidate will be responsible for proposing and initiating new
technology development projects for silicon based, next generation
photovoltaic cells & modules. This position will interact with both internal
and external partners, and will validate new material, process and device
concepts leading to improved photovoltaic system efficiencies. The
significant emphasis is placed on developing new technologies in parallel
with a successful business model. The successful candidate will interact
with Solar Business group, but the emphasis will be on the development of
disruptive technologies within the B&TI, which harness DC Si-based materials
set.
The candidate must have a working knowledge of the design, fabrication and
testing of photovoltaic devices, along with a thorough understanding of
state of the art processes and devices used within the photovoltaic industry
. An understanding of industry roadmaps for future developments in
photovoltaic technologies would also be beneficial. Hands on experience of
photovoltaic cell /device fabrication and test procedures, combined with a
proven ability to build inter-company, or industrial-academic collaborative
networks would be advantageous. This role requires two or more years of
experience in an applied industrial research environment or post-doctoral

Unlimited work authorization can be interpreted as green card or no
sponsorship for H1B. But I found that hiring managers prefer green card.
