Senior Technology Analyst
We are seeking a Senior Technology Analyst with a strong technology
background in biotechnology. Must be creative and also be a strategic
thinker.
The candidate will be responsible for sensing monitoring and analyzing new
technologies and identifying new business opportunities while building up
research partnership with outside partners. The candidate will also be
responsible for exploring technologies to establish new ventures and
business opportunities. They will work closely with other stake holders
within our company – specifically our advanced technology group and other
technical communities.
Responsibilities:
Identify and source state-of-the-art technologies to foster new
business ideas.
Analyze and report on what leading companies are doing in
preparation for the future, their strategies and activities
Establish and maintain research partnership with universities,
research institutes, and start-ups.
Execute joint R&D projects by acting as a liaison between the
research team and sponsoring organization
Will require extensive interaction with marketing and other R&D
scientists to characterize and understand the user needs for new products
Propose new research themes in biotechnology
Qualifications/Skills:
Degree in life science or bioengineering. PhD preferred, Industry
experience is a plus
8 years of professional experience in biotechnology, such as
metabolic engineering, biochemical, bio-fuel, in-vitro diagnostics including
DNA/RNA detection, antibodies, etc.
Technical understanding of the competitive landscapes, current
trend and future trends in biotechnology
Good connection with university/institute/government research
institutes
Creative, self-motivated self-directed, and able to multi-task a
variety of projects in a fast-paced environment.
