Ph.D. is not going up and also suppressing other lower tier wages. There
are several Indian technician with master working for 26k in my institute
and when I try to raise salary for my tech, it didn't go so well with the HR.
If you look carefully at the job posting, you will realize that it is not
really an open job. A Ph.D. is willing to take the job, since the minimum
requirement in the institutional description is a MS and BS degree job. |
