Title: Scientist I, Oncology Drug Discovery
Responsibilities:
· Design and synthesize small molecule anticancer agents for
discovery programs
· Understand structure-activity-relationship (SAR) using parameters
specific to the project.
· Characterize and analyze the synthesized molecules using standard
analytical methods such as NMR, MS etc.
· Systematic recording of experimental details (lab notebooks),
storage of analytical data
· Collaborate with and assist other scientists in the group for the
development of projects
· Regular report writing
· Understand and maintain company’s safety standards
Qualifications:
· Ph.D. in Organic/Medicinal Chemistry required
· 1-2 years of industrial or postdoctoral experience preferably in
drug discovery
· Effective oral/written communication skills
· Good interpersonal and collaboration skills
· The ability to work in a team environment
· A track record of publication is a plus |

有点为难了。
至于楼上的问题，我来试着解答。一般来说，如果真的是R&D type of work，postdoc
的经验还是有用，尤其是老板牛，或者background match的时候。
至于over-qualified为什么一般没戏，我当年找工作也想，我PhD拿个master的工资我
愿意啊，为什么不要我？可是站在老板的角度看，你over-qualified,那么你一定干不
长，一旦你有了经验，有了签证/绿卡，你就会走，那么我的project，我为了
training你花的投入，都打水漂了，所以正规公司不愿意要over-qualified的
candidates。
不过所谓撑死胆大的，化学外包公司CRO(以中国等亚洲地区来的老板为主），我用签证
/绿卡押你一段，让你走不了，给你低工资，能剥削点就剥削点，你跳了我再找，反正
谁来都能干，不愁找不到人。于是就会看到很多“博们”拿着和本科生差不多的钱在做
这条件艰苦的R&D。哈，当年我还真就是这么活过来的。 |
