The project is budgeted for 1 Year to start and possibility of further
extension.
Description: Research Chemist with experience and demonstrated aptitude in
organic synthesis and surface chemistry to support new product development
and program feasibility projects. Supported programs will primarily focus on
immunoassay detection and surface chemistry platforms for research and
diagnostics applications.
Working as part of small, but dynamic R&D team, you will be responsible for
new product feasibility and development involving new chemistries.
The successful candidate will also provide support and consultation to our
Quality and Manufacturing teams to improve and ensure robust manufacturing
processes of our chemiluminescent 1,2-dioxetane substrate and polymeric
enhancer products.
The successful candidate will provide technical expertise and bench support
for new chemistries and product development, contribute to technical
presentations, interact with global set of colleagues and collaborators, and
help contribute to new directions integrating chemiluminescent technologies
with other company platforms.
Job Requirements:
Demonstration of complex chemical syntheses, experience chemical surface
characterization and chemical derivatization of surface and soluble
molecules, collaborative work approach, and strong scientific acumen,
creativity, and communication skills, are critical. Competency using
standard software (ChemDraw, Patent Searches, SciFinder, etc.) required.
Experience with development and transfer of standard operation procedures
for manufacturing production considered a plus.
Qualifications
Ph.D. or equivalent organic chemists with 5-10 years experience and
demonstrated success in organic synthesis MUST.
