Position Title = Scientist II, Medicinal Chemistry
Job Description = Have responsibility for the optimization of chemical leads
through the utilization of SAR, structure-based design for potency,
selectivity
and pharmacokinetic profile
Support the development of clinical candidates through designing synthetic
routes, synthesizing impurities, major metabolites and degradants
Education = PhD in organic, medicinal or pharmaceutical chemistry with a
minimum
of 3-5 years of relevant industry work experience
Experience = Strong command of synthetic organic chemistry laboratory skills
,
Demonstrated excellence in applying medicinal chemistry to address
selectivity, PK/ADME and toxicology issues
Strong analytical skills employing characterization and purification
techniques, i.e. normal phase chromatography and reverse phase HPLC
Job Location = South San Francisco, CA
Salary = DOE
