Position Title: Process Engineer / or R&D Engineer
Location: Leuven, BelgiumLanguage skills: English: Fluency desirable; Other
languages such as Dutch, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Chinese useful
Basic Requirements
· A Master or Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Material Science,
Physics or Electronic Engineering or in a related discipline
· Experience in advanced patterning or with related background for
more than 3 years
· Must be capable of working easily in a clean-room
· Knowledge of statistics, and data analysis
· Knowledge of metrology equipment and process control techniques
· Observes flexible working hours
· Capable of working independently, being self-driven, and handling
multiple tasks simultaneously
· Team Player: the candidate must be able to integrate into a team,
driving for results in coordination with other people
· Communication and Collaboration: Candidate must be skilled at
communicating in English. Candidates must be accessible and approachable
· Preferred candidate will have demonstrated the ability to build
working relationships with external partners
Key Responsibilities
· R&D position focusing on material evaluation and process
development at IMEC facility.
· Work scope of this position includes, but not limited to:
o Evaluate materials for their lithographic performance
o Carry out defectivity studies
o Develop new patterning processes
· Support advanced equipment access at IMEC. Work on multiple
lithography, metrology, and etch equipment.
· Collaborate with R&D groups to support material development
o Collect performance data and summarize into presentable documents
o Write technical reports
· Generate data package to support customers
· Collaborate with IMEC programs to identify new opportunities, and
coordinate joint development projects· Understand customers’
needs through industry assignees and communicate the information with R&D
and marketing teams· This position requires working hour
flexibility, if situation requires.
· Some travel may be required, both domestic and international
