Chicago Bans Sparklers
CHICAGO (CBS 2) - The City Council on Wednesday unanimously voted to ban
sparklers.
Under the ordinance, passed unanimously with a voice vote, violators may be
fined up to $500, the Daily Southtown reported. But gone is the most
draconian provision in an earlier version of the ordinance, which would have
punished violators with vehicle impoundment.
