Oak Park police are warning residents about several armed robberies that
may be part of a crime pattern that's developed in recent weeks.
One robbery happened on July 20th in the 100 block of Washington Blvd at
about 2:20 a.m. Another took place on July 10th in the 400 block of
Wisconsin Ave at about 3 a.m.
Police say both victims were injured, one severely.
Two more armed robberies happened last Tuesday.
One was in the overnight hours in the 1500 block of North Austin Blvd and
the other was just before 6 p.m. in the first block of Lemoyne Pkwy.
In both of those crimes, police say three men surrounded the victims and
threatened them with guns and took their wallets.
The attackers are described as African American men, between 5 ‘7 and 6’
2, ages 19 to 25
