Last week, the Board of Education approved All-Day Kindergarten (ADK) for
all Naperville 203 schools beginning in 2014-2015. The expanded day of
learning All Day Kindergarten provides maximizes the unique developmental
window that belongs to five and six year olds and helps build the foundation
for cognitive development, critical thinking, social skills and
independence.
This message is for families who will have a child entering kindergarten
next year. If you know of someone who has an incoming kindergarten student
but will not receive this message, please share this information or direct
them to contact the Naperville CUSD 203 Administration office.
A Kindergarten Information Session for Parents has been scheduled for
Thursday, January 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Elmwood Elementary School. Childcare is
not available during this program.
At this session, you will hear more about the District’s kindergarten
program, including a half-day option, and have an opportunity to ask any
questions that you may have at this time. The following link will take you
to a Frequently Asked Questions handout that includes additional enrollment
details and deadlines.
All Day Kindergarten FAQ
In February, each elementary school will hold a Kindergarten Preview. This
is an opportunity for you to learn more about kindergarten and the school
while your child is provided a classroom experience. Families who have
already enrolled their kindergartner will receive updated information as it
become available. Enrollment may take place at any time after Monday,
January 6, 2014, at the District Administration building, 203 W. Hillside
Road. Forms will be available on the District web site at www.naperville203.
org.
Please be sure to join us for these two important events. Each one is
intended to provide you with timely information that should set your child
up for a successful kindergarten experience!

有了比没有好啊！对后来的小娃和他们的父母好啊！

不过这也不全是好事。
比如HIGHLANDS，现在PI PLUS PROGRAM是放在那。但是学校容量有限，改全天
KINDERGARTON后，2014年PI PLUS就不放在那了，好学生走了，加上从北边转来的坏学
生，对学校的排名显然有负面影响。
而且原来在附近的学生也不方便了。

全天 KINDERGARTON就顺理成章地改了。。。。咱们就看长期的结果吧。
不过一个学校靠PI PLUS PROGRAM提高排名也就太那个了吧？。。。

不过把好学生调走总是不好的事。再加上从北边来一些一般的学生。这两个加起来，影
响就大一点。有可能从10分降到9分。
当然这只是我在这些事实上的推测。以后会怎么样，谁知道。
想办法让孩子进PI PLUS是王道。
