“崛起中的全球领军者”--第一届“哥伦比亚大学中国展望论坛”
2010年中国在上海成功举办了世界博览会, 这是继2008年北京奥运会之后又一次
深具影响力的全球盛会。经过多次国际盛事的举办,中国已逐步加强了同全世界的
沟通并在处理国际事务中扮演重要角色;2010年也是我国十一五规划最后一年,历
史的车轮也匆匆滚过了21世纪的首个十年,我们展望以十二五规划引领下中国的未
来,以及已经步入的改革开放后的又一个三十年的发展前景并探索中国成为世界领
军者的发展道路。由美国哥伦比亚大学中国学生学者联谊会举办,第一届哥伦比亚
大学中国展望研讨会将于2010年10月16日隆重举行。
哥伦比亚大学中国展望研讨会主要讨论关于中国如何促进国内发展和成为国际领军
者的议题,其中囊括城市化建设、能源、金融、中国企业全球化、医疗体系改革、
国际事务以及诸多影响中国未来发展的重要议题。我们已经邀请到了海内外各领域
的杰出代表出席会议并讨论相关议题,分享独特视角与见解。
本次会议的受众将会十分广泛,不仅有哥伦比亚大学的学生、学者,还包括大纽约
地区乃至整个美东地区的学生、学者及其他各界人士。本次活动得到了各方面的大
力支持,这其中包括联合国副秘书长沙祖康先生、中国驻联合国全权大使李保东先
生、哥伦比亚大学校长办公室、欧美同学会、中国驻纽约总领馆,以及美东地区各
个高等学府的组织团体等。

“China’s Emergence as a Global Leader”-- First Columbia China
Prospects Annual Conference
In 2010, China successfully held the World Expo, yet another influential
event with global impact since the completion of 2008 Olympics. Through
these events, China is gradually enhancing its communication with the
world and is taking on more and more of an important role in
international affairs. 2010 will mark the last year in the Eleventh
Five-Year Plan and the ending of the first decade of the 21st century.
Amid this historical moment, we are looking forward to China’s future
under the guidance of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan and the entering of the
second thirty-year period ever since the Reform and Opening Up. We
aspire to explore China’s road toward a global leader, and it is
under this principle, Columbia University Chinese Students and
Scholars Association will hold the first Columbia China Prospects
Conference on October 16th, 2010.
The Columbia China Prospects Conference focuses on China’s domestic
development and its international leadership, organized around topics
including Urbanization, Energy, Finance, Globalization of Corporate
China, Health Care Reform, International Affairs and other issues
pertinent to China’s future.
The participants of the Conference will come from a variety of
industries and backgrounds. We have invited Columbia students and
scholars, scholars from greater New York area and East Coast, and many
other personnel. The Conference have also received support from United
Nations Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Mr.
Sha Zukang, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations Mr.
Li Baodong, Columbia University Office of the President Lee C.
Bollinger, Western Returned Scholars Association, Consulate-General of
the People's Republic of China in New York, and other higher education
organizations throughout the east coast.
