这样的老板跟不得的。没有资助也是万万不能的。
一旦secure了新的资助,马上操了他。他不把你当人看,你又何必太care他。
一定要找个可能对你好的老板,至少要fair。你好好干他就应该对你好。
当然不是所有的老板都是那么BT的。

First thing first!
You need to sit down with your boss and talk to him about the situation.
I had the same pressure before, maybe greater, from my boss. And after
received some advice from friends, shrinks, I talked to him abou the
situation, and it seems it works out in my way. |

thing first" is to sit down and talk with the supervisor to make it clear what
is the root for the unhappiness and make out what is the possible way to

据我的经验,两种教授最不能碰,一是女教授,二是中国教授,不晓得你是怎么得罪
老美的,老美的老板一般都很nice,好像不会让你做超负荷的工作的,除非你自己愿意。
你应该找学校的有关部门磋商磋商。

knowledgable as well. Some of them are very tough and didn't want any grad
student.
In my area, all students go to the youngest prof, while the other two didn't
have a single one (one is tough too, another just got "Life Achievement
Awards"
but was too old (>60).

department, so, we are those little fish that suffer. after two years of
battle, the committee fail me and my labmate (under same advisor) the
qualifying exam and not allow us to take a peak at those graded papers.
well, there are all politics. in or outside the lab.. in every corner of this
acedemic life, i think.
but, beside working hard to impress other facalty instead of only my advisor,
i have nothing to complain.

stayed out of the confusing knots (or pretend to, I don't know), and I have to
deal with the other minor examiner, who was former chair of grad students.
During preparation for the exam, we were working much more effeciently than me
with my major examiner. Now really can't tell what he said was truth, and what
was to confuse me, and what else is to give me hints for alternatives. :<
