新offer的开始时间在2月初，我打算一月底离职，留一个星期的时间在家休息一下。但
是这一个星期我不是没有什么？ 我过来人清楚这样做是合法的嘛？以前听说H1B一旦离
职一个星期以上就黑掉了。是真的么？

发帖数: 2140 | 2 I am a H1b and I changed job. What my new company did for me is to apply a
new H1b. They said as long as you got the notice of receiving application
from USCIS before you ended your job, you should be fine. One week should be
fine.
I started my new job one or two days after I ended my previous job. At that
time, my new H1b still hadn't been approved. There is a window time (one or
two months?) when you can start your new job even if the h1b is not approved
as long as you got the notice of receiving application from USCIS before
you ended your job.
This is just my experience, you better check with your lawyer.
My suggestion: if you "heard" that more than one week of break might be
risky, why bother taking one week of break? Why not just take 5 days?

Yeah, i thought about it, and maybe I just take 4 days off and it's enough
for me to fly back to NC and spend a few days with my friends there.
