This is a stupid comment. I explained to the cowokers that as long as the
beam seat is level and the substructure is vertical, there is no so-called
longitudinal component of he dead load. Stupid coworker does not agree and
keeps saying the bridge will slide due to the steep grade, and he thinks
that is a simple concept. What the F. |

构吧。必须要保证那superstructure和seat两个面都是水平才行。楼主再仔细考虑考虑
吧,规范很少出错的。
我见过这种坡上的桥,常见的情况是,seat水平,seat上的bearing和桥体是有夹角的
,所以一般情况是肯定要考虑下滑的。 |

bottom of the load plate is always level. under the load plate is the
bearing.
Some design guides (such as Penn DOT) says you need to consider it for
bridge on steep grade with INCLINED bearing.
