Responsibilities:
Responsible for R&D activities related to dishwasher hydraulics system
technologies, focused on delivering performance which meets the needs of the
consumer
Feature development and the associated system integration of dishwasher
hydralics systems.
Assure that the product specification(s) contain adequate information to
guide R&D activities in the US and China in order to deliver exceptional
products for the US market.
Perform competitive assessments on industry leading products and features.
Work closely with the China-based product development teams to assure that
the assigned products meet the US consumer-driven design intent.
Consult with and train the China-based development team members in the areas
of design performance, reliability, technical risk, and safety as it
relates to US residential dishwasher products.
Drive the development of company's US dishwasher patent portfolio, from
concept development through validation.
Generate and develop innovative concepts for dishwasher platform
Key requirements and qualifications:
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or related field. Master's preferred.
Familiarity with product specifications, strong coaching skills, experience
working with Asian product development teams.
Deep knowledge of dishwasher products, technologies and systems,
specifically hydralic and filter systems.
Strong understanding of dishwasher related intellectual property,
particularly with US patents.
Skilled at protecting company intellectual property through patents.
Solid understanding of regulatory and agency requirements for dishwashers.
Strong understanding of product reliability needs and assessments.
Strong problem solving and failure analysis skills.
Experience conducting competitive assessments.
Experience working with remote product development teams.
Goal oriented and self-managed
Five years or more experience in dishwasher product development.
Some travel to China required. |
