Kimmel and ABC and Disney executive a choice:
a. Fire Jimmy Kimmel. Apologize publicly and sincerely about their lapse
of judgement in airing the show and promise to remove anti-China blame-China
-for-everything bias and violent/hate speech material.
b. Apologize sincerely, and wear our demonstration t-shirt on the show for
60 days (Jimmy Kimmel). ie, demonstrate their sincerity by demonstrating
against racism and for Chinese-American solidarity in public. We are
giving Kimmel a chance to demonstrate his sincerity without admitting guilt.
If he doesn't even want to wear a harmless panda shirts, how seriously
should we take his apology?
ABC said "sorry to upset you" right? Well try to make us happy by showing
us solidarity by wearing these shirts and marching with us. Feel how it
feels like to be a Chinese, to be laughed at, to be envied, to be despised,
to be discriminated against, even to be murdered.
That was the history of China for like 1000 years. Yet we keep working
hard, trying to make friends out of enemies and to find win-win in lose-lose
scenarios. To make a better future, together we are stronger.
