Forces on Yonaguni, which many believe is part of an effort by Tokyo to
assist Washington in protecting Taiwan. Articles in Chinese state media this
week have railed against Japan for expanding its own ADIZ in 2010 to
include Yonaguni Island.”

Peace in East Asia requires a foundation of a constructive respectful and
honest interchange, which we are seeing a lot in the current Chinese
administration.
America's interest in East Asia is to keep building trust with China,
economically, militarily and culturally. Generations of Americans have
built an incredible wellspring of goodwill in China. The current
administration risks frittering away this goodwill and hard-won trust with
their current misguided "pivot-to-asia-to-contain-China" policy orientation.
Wait, this is the board for Chinese-Americans. So I'll urge
Chinese-Americans to reach out to Taiwanese-Americans to build common ground
in our pursuits of peace, equality and American dream. |
