It means alliance with Japan and India and other asian countries, to
"contain" China. Though they do not admit it.

So has been in place for more than a year with little notice or
protest by Chinese-Americans. Who started it? The powerful
Japan lobby I suspect.
We are all losers with this pointless adversarial strategy. If
this strategy continues to hold sway in US defense spending,
the fragile trust and good will built by generations of Americans
in China is going to be frittered away by a few hawks and Japan
lobby who stand to win.
The media is complicit and playing along. Just as it played along
with Iraq war, never questioning the flimsy evidence of WMD that
turned out to be nonexistant. The funeral pyre for China
(like for Saddam Hussein) is being built piecemeal for the
benefit of a few defense contractors and
the empire of Japan, even if it could mean the destruction of 2
great countries, once allies and friends, and lives of 2 billion people.
American public is unaware of the source of anti-China rhetoric,
and they are not paying attention. Are we, Chinese Americans,
going to allow another tragic mistake to happen to America after the
Iraq War? |
