venture biotech company that focuses on the development of new therapeutics
for cancer and metabolic diseases. ABP is located in the Zhenjiang High Tech
Park in Jiangsu Province, China (visit www.atombp.com for details). The
company is seeking a talented and highly motivated scientist to lead its
assay development and lead evaluation program.
The successful candidate will lead a team of scientists to develop and
validate biochemical and cell-based assays for evaluation of compound
activities, test/screen candidate compounds, and work with medicinal
chemists to optimize lead compounds. You will apply your laboratory skills
and work in a multidisciplinary environment for the development and
validation of lead compounds for clinical studies. The ability to
communicate with scientists in other fields (e.g. medicinal chemistry and
pharmacology), manage projects, and keep up with the most up-to-date
development in the field is important aspects of this role.
Minimum Requirements:
• Ph.D. in molecular biology/biochemistry or related discipline with 2
or more years of postdoctoral or equivalent research experience.
• Advanced knowledge of enzymatic and cell based assay development for
small molecule evaluation.
• Strong communication skills with experience in writing technical
reports.
Desired Skills/Experience:
• Knowledge in multiple disease areas including oncology, metabolism
and others
• Experience as a research team lead
