Last November Andrew Skurka completed an epic 6,875-mile solo hike known as
the Great Western Loop, which links together five long-distance hiking
trails and passes through 12 National Parks and over 75 wilderness areas.
The 26-year-old Boulder, CO, resident covered the distance in 208 days (a
blistering pace of 33 miles per day) but managed to stay healthy by carrying
