打算用两天的时间体验一下慕名已久的longs peak，希望到时天气好。
从本版的经验贴学习了很多，再向大侠们请教几个问题：
1 所谓的false keyhole是返回的时候容易误走么？怎么避免？需要带GPS不？
2 能够从石缝中pump和过滤水的filter叫什么？哪里能够买到或者租到？
3 下山时保护膝盖的技巧是什么？
4 暖手的小包是什么？
5 正常天气，九月第二周去camping一夜，衣服是否就该参照冬天滑雪的情况？
6 附近比较适合练习的其他trail。
7 任何其他忠告和建议。

周末人应该很多，不是那么容易走错，发觉走错路了再退回来就是
去rei看看？
不知道，或者用hiking pole有帮助吧
9月初不至于用这玩意吧
显然不是，晚上冷一点也就摄氏零下，躲睡袋里就是了。穿那么多白天热死。
跑步机，或者山上的trail，比如从longs peak th到boulder field

原本担心那个时候快要下雪了，树线以上会很冷，看来可以轻装一点了。

发帖数: 1371 | 4 到底是冷是热还是要到时候看天气预报，有可能会比较冷或者比较热，但是冬天滑雪的
衣服应该不至于。

GPS is pretty helpful. You can download track files (tpo or gpx) from 14ers.
com and load it onto your GPS. Or you can turn on the tracking at Keyhole
and leave it on all the way to the summit, then follow your own track back.

lots of options, call REI to see if you can rent one.
use trekking poles, go slow if there is no threatening weather coming. You already summit, no need to hurry.
hand warmer, don't think you need it though.
double check the weather before you go, under normal conditions, a fleece
plus a water proof jacket should be sufficient. need 30F or better sleeping
bag, depends on how low the temperature will drop to at night.
try a couple easy 14ers or 13ers first, make sure your body functions well
at the altitude.
monitor the weather closely before the day. watch for snow/ice on the trail,
they make things a lot harder, especially on the class 3 scrambling part.
do your homework beforehand, read the route description and trip reports
online, they will give you a good idea what to expect. Last, if something
doesn't look right or you feel the mountain is telling you "not today", turn
around.

Can we download the files or turn on the tracking on a normal driving GPS?

it can be attached to your pack when you are moving. Driving GPS units may
have the same functions but are probably hard to use in the field.

5. 看情况，象我这样的估计就要羽绒服了。但是如果对冷不是特别敏感的人，估计不
需要羽绒服。
6. Mt. Evens 吧，那个最长的route. 比较好的体力training； 然后torreys peak 的
kelso ridge, 当作exposure 的训练吧。
