做为07年秋季入学转身份的历史资料，应加以整理并收入精华区。
投诉理由：
1. Visa版主SONYYY于 Aug. 18
发表“转身份问题请到immigration or overseas board”声明
并删除了所有相关讨论。
2. 版主对于Visa版职能的限定不正确。
change of visa status 需要在 USCIS file form I539,
"APPLICATION TO EXTEND OR CHANGE NONIMMIGRANT STATUS",所以
自然不属于immigratio | S****Y

changed my mind and would allow you to continue discussion for a month or so
. But now that I think about it, not good.
2. I use D. And not just F2-F1 posts, I delete all old not m posts, because it's getting closet to 10000 posts on the board.
As your reasons go.
1, it's changing your "immigration status", not "visa status", do a little

发帖数: 161 | 3 觉得sonny这种做法很不好，既然不允许继续在visa板讨论转身份的问题，就应该提
前版面通知大家，而不是不出一声的把所有的帖子全部删掉，尤其现在是很多学校
要开学的时候，大家都很着急status，一直都在visa板块交流讨论，结果一觉睡起
来，发现所有以前大家总结的信息都没有了。

发帖数: 3 | 4 支持楼主，我正好也要写封投诉信，没想到这是大家的心声。斑竹做法实在太令人气愤
了。
F2转F1本来就是获取新的Visa签证。完全属于签证版的范畴，这和在美国大使馆获得签
证的唯一区别就是一个是面签，一个是递材料。而且精华区一直保留着转身份的诸多信
息，这说明F2-F1,H4-F1已经约定俗成在这个板块。斑竹连定义都搞不清楚，就胡乱删
信，是高度不负责，也完全不够格。
我下周就要开学了，系里看不到新的签证（请注意，他们要的F1签证）不让注课，心急
火燎，结果现在一点消息看不到。如果MIT的负责人对此事不闻不问，以后再也不来这
个没有公理的地方了。 | a*******r

2. Yes, I did a little google before I posted my complain. Seems I am not
the only one who is confused by those two legal terms. In fact, I find
a couple of schools out there, including Stanford and MIT, are still
using the phrase of "change visa status" instead of "immigration status".
3. Thanks for initiating the voting at Visa. I think that's the way to do it.
