Basically, I need some examples where the solution is more or less known,
quantitatively or qualitatively.
I want to test a numerical procedure. But I have to have a way to
verify my numerical solution. The example has better be a 3D problem but
can be reduced to one dimensional solution. Also if there is heat transfer
it is better.
If you know of any paper or book that has these kind of
examples, please let me know.

There are three kinds of nonlinear problems.
The first one is nonlinear elasticity.Thats to say, the material is
nonlinear. The most famous solution is the deformation of a rubber under
lateral pressure. I once found this solution in a chinese book.
The second one is geometric nonlinear. The most famous solution in
elasticity is the deflection of a thin plate.( Qian weichang did much work in
this field)
The third one is contact nonlinear. The most famous solution

Is this a dynamic problem(time dependent)? So initially there is no
deformation, but there is a pressure(ext stress) difference between
the two ends? what is the solution like? piecewise constant?

No. just elastostatic. I have forgotten what the solution is like. But I am
sure its not a closed form solution. It was demonstrated as a solution
procedure.
in
contact
However,there
hole
known,
transfer
