面对的是一个 discontinuous, nonlinear 的complicated model (discrete in time

我想问一下,除了Monte Carlo simulation之类的sampling
的方法之外,有没有其他的direct的方法来进行uncertainty analysis? 也就是说,在知
道inputs,parameters的 distribution(连续或者离散) 或者moments的情况下,如何得
到output的distribution 或者momens。
monte carlo太费时间了,对于我的问题的实际应用意义不大,所以我想有没有其他的方
法。 如果是一个differential equation,我倒是见过用expansion的方法解决的。
本人数学背景不强,在自己的领域内也没有看到相关研究,望哪位大虾能指点迷津。

I am using expansion methods to study the uncertainty in CFD.
It does not work well if there is discontinuity.
You can use this kind of methods even you don't have a differential equation.
I guess you used the basic Monte carlo.
Advanced applications of Monte-Carlo can be thousands of times
faster than the most basic one. Many people still think MC is the right
choice.
