to queens, NY almost 2 months ago.
Now I became used to the traffic. New problem is the bumpy road. Today, I
got flat tire half way to my office. My Bontrager hard case tire in my
road bicke barely gave me any problem in my 1.5 years commuting from NJ
(and I laughed at ZhangLaoSan for his frequent deflations). Now
within 2 months, the new Bontrager tire was cut through on NY road, wires

1. it attracts less theft than my other bicycle.
2. I use cages & straps in fixie, so I can wear sneakers with it. That is
important.
3. easier to clean/maintain if you ride a lot.
4. the steel frame is more comfortable to ride

cleaning the drive train of my fixie literally takes 5 minutes a week.

have first hand experience
