not doing any work. with about a quarter left, I moved up. after a turn, I
moved up even further. then I saw this one guy riding a mountain bike on the
outside lane. I was thinking we must be passing this guy. but then I
noticed that he wasn't being passed, even after the speed picked up again. I
started paying attention to the guy. he was riding a Salsa Moto Rapido with
2-inch+ tires. pretty young. I was wowed.

teen or early 20s. Freddie through and through. From his cloth and bike to
his pedaling form. But he was really hanging there. and the guy had no idea
about cycling etiquette, no one wants to ride around him. He was later
dropped.
towards the end of the ride, I went my own way going home. He rode up to me
at a stop light asking for directions back to the parking lot. I said I don'

comfortable riding shoulder-to-shoulder and drafting with less than a foot
apart. this is really the race pace. |

发帖数: 893 | 6 since the rollers are not as steep as chapel hill, sitting at the back doing
25mph isn't as bad. half of the pack are cat 3s and 4s, definitely the
right group for me. once I solve the cramping problem, I should be able to
participate the rotating paceline up front that's driving the ride.
pack often cruise at 30mph on flats, it's fun.

发帖数: 893 | 7 the front is pretty good. it's not as nice and tight in the back; all sorts
of riders hang out there.
a breakway of four men win today's ride. I don't think there is a town line
sprint though, too bad.
