distance biking is 90-110 rpm. With a single gear bike, there is no way you
could maintain that cadence when you climb a hill. If you force your way
through 100 miles, you can hurt your knees seriously. There is a world's
difference between the crappy mountain bikes you bought in china and a real
road bike. Changing gears is no pain at all, and absolutely necessary for
good performance.

ride a fixie for commute every day. It feels pure. it's just my leg and lung
against the gravity and wind. No shifting, no braking, no coasting, no
bullshit.

i love the feeling you describe there. that's exactly the reason i like
swimming and running and didn't start cycling.
so would you recommand a fixie for tri?

发帖数: 3433 | 5 tri bike好像跟road bike还是有些差别的，没干过这个，不过以前看过一些文章有印
象。一个是风阻更小的，另一个就是frame设计得使得下一段跑步时用到的肌肉不至于
用太多太累。不过大概刚开始弄个road bike也感觉不出来啥区别，等成绩上去了才考
虑专车专用的事情。。
国内的那个不是fixed gear，叫single speed，还是有差别的。
