i have come to the conclusion that, even just to survive the lowest level
of racing, one needs to train hard and smart in the following three aspects:
1. endurance and efficiency -- ability to ride for 2-3 hours or more at

w****1 发帖数: 4931 | 4 I often get a bit sore quadricep tendon on my left leg after a 2+ hour
bike ride. It was not serious and goes away in a day or two, but was a
bit alarming. In running my injuries are always on my right leg (right
knee, right shin...), but in cycling I only get soreness on my left leg.
Is it because my left leg is the driving leg somehow? Do I need to make
any adjustments?

this may be your mind subconsciously compensating for your injury in the
right leg, meaning you are using left leg more, resulting soreness. It's
common to have uneven leg power.

h******2 发帖数: 1498 | 6 not for you -- for the amount of running you do, cycling is not going to
cause injuries to you that easily. however, crashing is a different story.
with the race quickly approaching, you might want to be extra cautious on
the bike, finalize the fueling protocol, and be careful of the food you eat.
not a good time to try new things.

bike for a week. They will actually bring it to the race expo for free, so
it's a good deal for me.

if you don't feel comfortable on the tri bike, don't hesitate to go back to
you road bike.

I can get used to clipless pedals in less than a week. But I could get
used to a new bike in less than a week.
