? How much speed do we lose on these hybrid bike vs. on road bikes assuming
equal effort? I think hybrid would be more comfortable to ride on and it can
handle wider range of terrain conditions (like gravel road). If it has
comparable performance as the road bike, I am inclined to get a hybrid bike.
By semi-decent hybrid bike, I mean something like this:

Its road counterpart, I assume it's similar to this:

in consequence, more wind resistance. Maybe 1-2mph difference in speed if
other conditions are similar.
